Georgia's 2026 recruiting class is nearly wrapped up, so that means it is time to start attacking the 2027 class with a vengeance. The good news for Georgia is that they already have six commits in their 2027 recruiting class which is good enough for the No. 6 class in the country.
Their No. 1 commit in their class up to this point is corner Donte Wright, but a new report has surfaced showing that he is not 100 percent locked in with Georgia even if he is still committed to UGA.

Georgia's top commit continues to listen to other schools
Wright is the No. 30 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also is the No. 3 corner in the 2027 class as well as the No. 2 overall player from his home state of California.
Wright committed to Georgia on June 30, but ever since then he hasn't really been acting like a UGA commit. He has continued to allow many other schools to recruit him, and most recently it has been Miami and Oregon who have been reaching out to him the most.
Oregon appears to be the team Georgia should be the most nervous amount because Wright visited the Ducks earlier this season. That visit apparently went well because he and the Ducks have remained in close contact ever since.
Wright's recruitment still has a year to go, and all signs are unfortunately pointing to this being a difficult commitment for Georgia to hold onto. But as long as he remains committed to Georgia then there isn't a reason for anyone to be too nervous.
But Wright is definitely a name to watch closely over the next year because it doesn't look like he plans on shutting his recruitment down anytime soon.
