Georgia’s recruiting nightmare was finally predicted to come to an end

Some fireworks may be on the horizon for Georgia’s recruiting class.

Out of all the major programs across the country it is Georgia who has had one of the roughest stretches of recruiting over the past month. As many elite programs have been stacking commits and flying up the recruiting rankings, Georgia has done the exact opposite and lost commits and flew down the rankings.

Something needed to change fast if Georgia was going to get back near the top of the recruiting rankings where they belong, and thankfully that may be happening very soon.

Georgia hosted their first big official visit weekend of the summer this past weekend, and early reports indicate that it was a home run for the program. No report is more telling though than On3 predicting three recruits to commit to Georgia coming off this weekend.

Georgia football predicted to land three elite recruits after first official visit weekend

The hope after every official visit weekend is that Georgia will add a few commits, but that is never guaranteed to happen. It is never a guarantee until these players actually commit, but Georgia has a lot of reasons to be very hopeful right now.

One of the three recruits Georgia was predicted to land is four-star safety Adryan Cole. He is the biggest name of the three players by far because he is the No. 4 safety in the country.

Georgia was also predicted to land four-star offensive tackle JJ Brown and three-star wide receiver Majay Thompson as well.

As mentioned, Georgia can't celebrate too early until these players actually commit, but the thought of them all doing so should excite everyone about the future of this recruiting class.

What these three commits could mean for the future of Georgia’s recruiting class

One of the biggest reasons why Georgia should be excited about potentially landing these recruits is because of the message it will send to the rest of the country. Not only will it show everyone else that Smart is getting hot, but it shows other recruits that Georgia is the place to be as well.

This is an especially important message to send right now because other SEC teams like Texas A&M are dominating the recruiting trail right now.

More players committing to Georgia also makes it more likely that others will follow suit as well, so these three joining the Bulldogs' recruiting class is extremely important.

Smart will host major recruiting weekends throughout the rest of June, so it is key to get as much early momentum as possible. That momentum could carry them throughout the rest of June and help them add even more commits as each weekend passes, and there really isn't a better way to get some momentum than by earning three commitments.

None of these recruits have announced when they plan to commit, so there is a chance that none of them do so anytime soon. But there is also a chance that they all come flying off the board and join Georgia's class in the coming days.

That obviously is what Georgia hopes will happen, but as long as they eventually commit then that will be just fine.
