Rumors have floated around the college football world that Dylan Raiola could be entering the Transfer Portal this offseason. While Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule has stated that he knows nothing about the situation, many experts are not surprised that Raiola would be considering such a move.

In fact, some experts have started predicting where Raiola could end up, and in an article by Bleacher Report, the Alabama Crimson Tide were mentioned as potential suitors for Raiola.

Alabama named potential landing spot for Raiola

Ty Simpson will likely be leaving Alabama for the 2026 NFL Draft at the end of the season, and rightfully so. The star quarterback is projected by FanDuel to be a top 10 draft pick. If Simpson leaves, Alabama has a few other names to turn to in its current depth chart. However, the Crimson Tide would obviously prefer a proven quarterback and former five-star recruit to lead the helm if possible.

Alabama has the funds to offer a large NIL deal to Raiola. With the current outlook of Nebraska football and what Raiola's situation would look like in Tuscaloosa, it would be hard to imagine him saying no to that kind of offer. Head Coach of the Crimson Tide, Kalen Deboer, has worked with several star quarterbacks such as Jalen Milroe and Michael Penix Jr. A relationship like that could be intriguing to Raiola, as well as his family, who moved to the neighboring state of Georgia his senior year of high school.

As far as Georgia goes, they are perfectly fine sitting with Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi behind him. They would not need to go after a guy who decommitted from the program in 2024. While Raiola could cause problems for Georgia when they inevitably face Alabama once again, Raiola has not crossed Georgia's radar.

As for Alabama, Raiola could be that name they put all their effort into obtaining in 2026.
