Georgia football will face a lot of significant challenges against Alabama this weekend. From quarterback Ty Simpson who played extremely well in Athens earlier this season to a defensive line that could be a big problem for Georgia's offensive line to handle, the Crimson Tide are capable of winning this game in a lot of different ways.

However, some new injury news was reported on Friday regarding star running back Jam Miller. Miller has been deemed "questionable" to play on Alabama's injury report all week, but On3's Pete Thamel now believes he is unlikely to play this weekend.

Georgia's matchup with Alabama just got a little easier

Miller is Alabama's top running back this season. He missed the Crimson Tide's first three games of the season with an injury, but since then he has recorded 493 yards and three touchdowns on 123 carries. He also has tallied 18 receptions for 108 more yards through the air as well.

Alabama has a few other solid options at running back behind Miller, but he is their best back by far. So Miller being unable to play (if that is what happens) would really benefit Georgia's defense. This would force Alabama to be more one dimensional on offense and focus more on their passing game as opposed to their run game. This means Georgia can adjust by keeping more players in coverage to try and take away the one thing Alabama will try to do.

It will be interesting to see if Miller plays or not on Saturday, but if he is sidelined then Georgia's chances of winning this game will improve. The Bulldogs are already favored to win according to Vegas oddsmakers, but those odds would likely improve if he is ruled out.

Kickoff between Georgia and Alabama is scheduled for 4:00 pm EST on Saturday, Dec, 6.
