Georgia football's spring practices are officially here. Tuesday marks the beginning of a 15-practice long schedule that will end with Georgia's annual Spring Game, even if some programs are deciding to cancel their spring games.
Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs enter a very important spring as there are more questions this year than normal. Who will be the starting quarterback? How will Georgia replace all of the lost talent to the NFL Draft? Will the new transfers and freshman be able to fit in?
All of these questions will be answered over the next month.
But potentially the most important thing this spring is for Georgia to stay as healthy as possible. The injury bug really plaugued the Bulldogs all last season and made life a lot more difficult in the SEC. That obviously didn't prevent Georgia from winning an SEC Champonship, but it definitely made things a lot more difficult.
But now that the offsesaon has been in full swing for two months now, the hope is that Georgia will be as healthy as ever with spring practices getting underway. That however isn't the case as Georgia's injury report, courtesy of 247Sports, looks eerily similar in length to what is usually seen during the regular season.
9 Bulldogs on Spring Injury Report
OT Monroe Freeling - Doubtful
DE Gabe Harris - Doubtful
TE Colton Heinrich - Doubtful
DT Christen Miller - Doubtful
P Brett Thorson - Doubtful
QB Ryan Montgomery - Doubtful
DE Joseph Jonah-Ajonye - Questionable
RB Branson Robinson - Questionable
RB Roderick Robinson - Questionable
The good news for Georgia is that none of these injuries are serious and should impact anyone from being healthy by the time the regular season rolls around. But missing any amount of time during spring practices is not ideal because this is the time when everyone is able to take a big step forward in their development.
But hopefully all nine of these Bulldogs are able to get healthy and Georgia fans see no new additions to the injury report throughout spring practices.
