The 2025 NFL Combine is off and running (pun intended) as the defensive lineman and linebackers are kicking things off in the four day event. Georgia football has four players participating in the Combine today, and so far the Bulldogs are turning heads at the Combine.

There are many drills and workouts that UGA's players will go through during their day at the Combine, but arguably none of them are broadcasted and talked about more than the 40-yard dash.

Speed is obviously a very important thing in the NFL, no matter what position you play. This is especially true for defensive lineman as they need to be quick off the snap to either rush the quarterback or chase down an opposing player.

Watching defensive lineman run the 40-yard dash is always a little funny because it doesn't make sense how people that big can move that fast. So whenever a defensive lineman puts up a fast time, everyone will be talking about it. And that is exactly what Georgia defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins just did at the Combine.

Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins runs the fastest time at the Combine

Ingram-Dawkins ran an impressive 4.86 in his first attempt of the 40-yard dash on Thursday at the Combine. That time set the record for the day as the fastest time at the Combine from a defensive lineman.

Coming into the Combine, Ingram-Dawkins was viewed as a day two prospect, meaning most project him to be selected in the second or third round of the NFL Draft. This 40-yard dash time will certainly vault him up NFL Draft projections, especially when experts rank all of the defensive lineman.

It's unlikely that Ingram-Hawkins will move into the first round of the Draft, but so far he is doing everything that he can to be drafted as high as possible later this spring.
