Georgia safety Dan Jackson doesn't feel like an underdog to No. 1 Texas

Now this is something that Georgia football hasn't experienced in quite some time. The Bulldogs are underdogs against Texas this weekend.

I know that isn't a surprise after seeing how this season has played out so far, but it's not too often that we see the Bulldogs as underdogs over the past few years. The question on everyone's mind now is how will the team respond? How will they respond to being the chaser instead of the ones being chased?

According to Georgia safety Dan Jackson, it sounds like it won't be an adjustment at all.

"I don’t think we’re really worried too much about outside expectations,” Gerogia safety Dan Jackson said via DawgNation.com. “I don’t personally believe that we’re ever an underdog, but that’s kind of how I’ve been seeing (it) throughout my career. I’m not worried about the guys we have in our room one bit, so.

This is probably the best mindset one could have heading into this showdown with the Longhorns. It's a tough thing to do, but not having a care in the world what anyone else outside of the Georgia locker room thinks, including the sportsbooks, is the best way to attack this game.

I love the part where Jackson said that he doesn't even feel like an underdog. On paper I know Georgia technically is, but how much of an underdog can you actually be as the No. 5 team in the country? If Georgia were to win while only being predicted to lose by 3.5 points I don't think people will be proclaiming this as some massive upset win. I think people will be saying that Georgia hasn't gone anywhere and that they are still the Kings of the SEC.

Now that sounds a lot better to me than being a so called underdog.
