Georgia football is pretty set at running back heading into next season. They are returning both Nate Frazier and Chauncey Bowens who are two of the best running backs in the country. But Georgia has lost two depth pieces to the NFL Draft and Transfer Portal as well, so adding another body to the group would be very helpful.

Kirby Smart and his staff are yet to earn a commitment from a transfer running back, but they have their eyes set on Michigan transfer Bryson Kuzdzal.

Georgia eyes under the radar RB in the Transfer Portal

Kuzdzal was just a two-star recruit out of high school, so the fact that he ended up at a program like Michigan is pretty remarkable. But he didn't just go to Michigan, he went to the Wolverines and actually put together a really solid season when no one expected much out of him.

Kuzdzal did not record a stat during the 2024 season, but he exploded for 326 yards and four touchdowns on 76 carries this past season.

Kuzdzal isn't the only Michigan running back to hit the Transfer Portal as Justice Haynes did so as well. He is a much bigger name than Kuzdzal, so he will be drawing a lot more attention. But Georgia has decided that Kuzdzal is the player for them as they will reportedly host him in the coming days.

Kuzdzal has already visited Iowa State and plans to head to Rutgers as well, but Georgia should feel really confident going up against these two programs. So as long as Kuzdzal is fine with sitting behind Georgia's top two running backs then it is hard to imagine the Bulldogs losing this recruitment.

But first thing's first, Georgia needs to put on a great visit and make him feel wanted.
