As if Georgia’s NCAA Tournament loss already wasn’t bad enough, now Florida fans are joining in the fun and kicking us while we’re already down.

The rivalry between Georgia and Florida is as fierce as it gets. But when the Bulldogs stole head coach Mike White from the Gators it took the rivalry to a whole new level. Florida fans however warned Georgia about how much of a mistake taking White could be, and their loss to Saint Louis on Thursday proved those Gator fans right.

“Georgia fans, meanwhile, are forced to accept that getting a No. 8 seed and getting blown out in the first round in the NCAA Tournament is about as good as it will ever get for the Bulldogs as long as Mike White is their coach,” said Benjamin Henderson via hailfloridahail.com.

“White is not a bad person, and he is not a “bad” coach, but it is clear he has limitations,” Henderson continued. “In his 11 seasons between Florida and Georgia, he has made it out of the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament one time. Had White stayed at Florida, there is minimal reason to believe Georgia’s past two years wouldn’t have just been Florida’s past two years.“

Florida fans can’t hold back their excitement after Georgia’s horrific NCAA Tournament loss

Georgia fans are very annoyed with Mike White right now. And they have every reason to be after the lackluster performance they put on against Saint Louis. Florida fans however are feeling the exact opposite as they are stoked to see Georgia lose with their former head coach.

Florida has it better than anyone else right now. They just won the SEC, are a 1-seed in this year’s tournament and just won the National Championship last year. Would any of this be happening if White was still their head coach?

Probably not.

Georgia however is stuck with White for the next few years hoping that he will finally break through in the NCAA Tournament. But if his career at Georgia or Florida is any indicator then things probably won’t work out anytime soon.
