Peyton Woodring is Georgia's superstar kicker. Having an elite kicker like Woodring is a cheat code because they are able to save any offensive drive that stalls by still giving Georgia three points.
A good kicker can be the difference between winning and losing, and it just so happens that Woodring is a big reason why Georgia has won so many close games over the last few years.
Woodring has a big decision to make this offseason because he could declare for the NFL Draft or return to Georgia for one more season. Thankfully Woodring announced on Sunday that he will be returning to Georgia for one more year.

Georgia's No. 1 kicker announces his return to Georgia
Woodring is coming off a phenominal season at Georgia. He made 17 of his 19 kicks this past season which includes going a perfect nine for nine from inside 40 yards. He was also elite at making long kicks as well as he went eight for 10 from 40+ yards and was three for four from 50+ yards. Woodring has also converted all 173 extra point attempts in his career as well.
Arguably the most important thing for Georgia this offseason was to keep their roster in tact as much as possible. Georgia just won the SEC two years in a row, so the team they have in Athens is good enough to continue winning championships. So keeping these players in town was the most important thing this offseason, and keeping Woodring helps accomplish that goal.
All eyes are now on running back Nate Frazier who has been rumored to be debating an entry into the Transfer Portal. But for now Georgia can celebrate keeping Woodring in Athens because he will help UGA's special teams continue operating at a very high level.
