Georgia football brought in a lot of transfers this offseason that UGA fans should be really excited about. Many of them project to make a huge impact during their first season in Athens this fall, and that is especially the case on the offensive side of the ball.

Kirby Smart and his staff went out and added two elite transfers at wide receiver this offseason, and one of those receivers is really beginning to stand out during fall camp. That player is Texas A&M transfer Noah Thomas.

"Through six practices, it is starting to slow down for him," offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said on Wednesday. "He's light years ahead of where he was in the spring. And he gives you another big body outside that can catch those balls that are contested."

Noah Thomas trending to become one of Georgia's top transfers

According to offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, Thomas is "light years" ahead of where he was during the spring. And considering how impressive Thomas already was when he arrived at Georgia this spring, the fact that he has already improved this much since then will get the juices flowing.

Thomas was a top 10 wide receiver in the Transfer Portal this offseason who was coming off a massive year with the Aggies in 2024. During the 2024 season, Thomas recorded 39 catches for 574 yards and an impressive eight touchdowns. All three of these stats were career highs for him, which is saying something because Thomas's 2023 season was very good as well.

Thomas will be a starter for Georgia this season and he will be a top red zone target for UGA's offense. He may not be as likely to turn a short pass into a huge gain like fellow transfer Zachariah Branch, but Thomas is someone who has the ability to haul in the tough catches in traffic.

That is something that Georgia has been missing in recent years, so it will be a welcomed site in Athens when Thomas makes his first big play against Marshall on Aug. 30.
