Expectations are sky high for Georgia football this fall as UGA is one of the favorites to win the SEC and a National Championship this season. Georgia fans however also have high expectations for a few individual players as well, and one of those is transfer wide receiver Noah Thomas.
It's hard to know what to expect from a transfer during their first season at Georgia, but based on a recent report from UGA insider Brooks Austin, Georgia fans should expect big things from Thomas this season.
"Sources were raving during the spring about former Texas A&M transfer Noah Thomas," Austin shared via si.com. "The 6’6 wideout has continued to be a problem during fall camp, it appears through just the first three days."
Noah Thomas continues impressive offseason run with Georgia
Thomas comes to Georgia from Texas A&M where he played three seasons. Thomas played very well in all three seasons with the Aggies, but it was his final season in 2024 where he was the most impressive. During the 2024 season, Thomas recorded 39 receptions for 574 yards and a whopping eight touchdowns.
Thomas projects to have an even better season this fall with Georgia based on his performance since arriving in Athens. As Austin mentioned above, he was one of the most impressive players for Georgia throughout spring ball. Thomas has continued that hot streak into fall camp where he has arguably been one of the best transfers (and players overall) so far for Georgia.
Thomas's arrival in Athens comes at the perfect time because of Georgia's issues in their wide receiver room last season. So hopefully those struggles will be a thing of a past this season with Thomas and the rest of Georgia's wideouts helping new quarterback Gunner Stockton be as comfortable and confident as possible.
