In one week Georgia will face arguably the biggest and most difficult game of the season after comfortably beating Vanderbilt on Saturday. The Bulldogs are 5-0 and the No. 2 team in the country, but this week they head to Alabama to play a game that will be nothing like the first five matchups they've played.

Georgia will learn a lot about themselves when they play Alabama. Up to this point they've had a relatively easy start to their season, but this weekend in Tuscaloosa will be the complete opposite.

Vegas predicts a coin flip game

Georgia has been massive favorites in all five of their games so far this season. They were over 30 point favorites in their first two games of the season against Tennessee State and Western Kentucky before being over three touchdown favorites Arkansas and Vanderbilt. Georgia was even favored by two touchdowns against Oklahoma two weeks ago, but they are not big favorites against Alabama.

As of now Georgia is just a 2.5 point favorite over Alabama, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. While it is nice to be the favorite this shows that Vegas believes both team are more than capable of winning this game, and that's the first time that has been the case all season.

Alabama is a true national championship contender

The reason why Vegas is predicting a close game is because Alabama is the first true national championship contender that Georgia will face this season. This past week the Crimson Tide were the No. 7 team in the country, and their dominant win over a previously undefeated Mississippi State proved how good they are.

Alabama beat Mississippi State on the road 56-23 which cements as true contenders this season. They also beat a ranked Kentucky team 45-17 earlier this season and have solid wins over Florida State, South Carolina and East Carolina too.

Georgia hasn't played a team with true national championship aspirations. Oklahoma at the start of the season would've fit in that category, but by the time they played Georgia they proved to not be on that level. Alabama however is absolutely on that level.

Georgia will be playing in their first difficult road environment

This weekend will be the second road game of the season for Georgia. No offense to Arkansas, but the Alabama game will be the first difficult road environment they will face this season.

Georgia's game at Arkansas in week three didn't feel like a true road game. The stands were half empty at opening kickoff and of the fans that were at the game it felt like half of them were cheering for Georgia. That won't be the case this weekend.

Georgia will have some fans in the stands, but they will be dominated by fans cheering for the Crimson Tide. They will have Alabama's stadium rocking all game long, and since this is a night game it will be one of the most intimidating environments Georgia will see all year.

Alabama is a team that is on a level Georgia hasn't faced yet this season. The good news is that Georgia has proven to be one of the elite teams in college football this season too, so even though this game is a big challenge they are still more than capable of winning.
