It may only be Thursday, but Georgia football is one day away from taking on their in-state rival Georgia Tech in the regular season finale. The Yellow Jackets are a solid team this season as they sit at 7-4 and as the only team to beat Miami (FL) this year. But Kirby Smart and Georgia are the much better team on paper and have the far better resume with wins over three top 12 teams.

So it is no surprise to see that the Bulldogs are big favorites over Georgia Tech for Friday's game.

When the spread for this game originally opened, Georgia was a 20.5 point favorite over Georgia Tech. That however is changing fast as the game inches closer, and it is changing in favor of the Yellow Jackets.

Spread moving in Georgia Tech's favor

As of Thursday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 am EST, Georgia has dropped a point and is now only a 19.5 point favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

While one point doesn't seem like a lot, it tells us that the public is confident that Georgia Tech is going to make this a good game. And in all honesty, there is probably a good chance that the Yellow Jackets do just that.

As mentioned, Georgia Tech is a solid 7-4 and are winners in their last two games which includes that win over Miami. So the Yellow Jackets are feeling as confident as they have all season and believe that they can pull this upset off. Georgia at times has also been known to play down to their competition, so there is a chance that happens again on Friday.

In all honesty, this 19.5 point spread still feels a little high. Georgia should still have no issue winning this game, but winning somewhere between 14 and 17 points seems more realistic. So it would not be surprising to see this spread shrink a little bit before this game on Friday night.

However, the only thing that truly matters is winning this game. The Bulldogs are playing their best football this season, and they need to keep that momentum as the SEC Championship game is right around the corner.
