Georgia's SEC finale is finally here. The Bulldogs will battle No. 10 Texas Saturday night in what is the biggest game in college football this week.
Georgia sits at 6-1 in SEC play, but they still need some outside help just to make it to the SEC Championship game. But no outside help can get them to Atlanta if they don't beat Texas first.
The Longhorns on the other hand are 7-2 overall after winning their last four games. This has put Texas back in the College Football Playoff picture, but one more loss would see them drop out for good.
Georgia football vs Texas final odds
FanDuel Sportsbook lists Georgia as a 6.5 point favorite over Texas. The over-under for this game is set at 49.5 points as well.
ESPN believes Georgia will win as well, but they aren't as confident as Vegas as they only give UGA a 59.9 percent chance to win this matchup.
Georgia football vs Texas prediction
Vegas has had a lot of issues figuring out the spread for this game. Oddsmakers have now adjusted the spread three times as they have bounced the it back and forth between 5.5 and 6.5 points all week. But the Bulldogs have remained a comfortable favorite all week long, and they should expect to win this game as a result.
Both Georgia and Texas have elite run defenses. The winner of this game will likely come down to which offense can be more effective running the ball. And considering Georgia's rushing attack has been much better than the Longhorns all season, the edge in that battle goes to UGA.
Texas still has a lot of playmakers on offense that can really hurt them, but Georgia's defense has been playing much better and will be ready to slow Arch Manning and the Texas offense down.
Georgia wins 27-23
