Georgia's offense has not been perfect this season. There are countless reasons why that is the case, but one of the last players anyone should mention is quarterback Gunner Stockton.

But don't tell Stockton that, because he believes there is a lot more that he can do to help Georgia's offense improve this season.

“I think I just need to cut loose sometimes and just play ball at the end of the day,” Stockton shared via dawgnation.com. “The Lord’s kind of blessed me with some (throws). Might have should have been some picks earlier in the season. But I’m excited, I go out there and play every day.”

Gunner Stockton believes he is at fault for Georgia's offensive struggles

The one thing Stockton has been elite at all season is using his legs. He has been able to rack up 220 yards on the ground and six touchdowns which is as good as anyone could have hoped for. Stockton has also been a solid passer as well, but that is where he has a lot of room for improvement still.

So far this season Stockton has completed 68 percent of his passes for 1,264 yards and six touchdowns. Those may seem like solid stats because they are, but his receivers are big reason why he has so many yards.

Stockton hasn't been as efficient when it comes to connecting on deep balls. And his lack of success throwing the deep ball has led him to be unwilling to even test the waters at times. So instead of his yards coming from big plays through the air, he is relying on his receivers to gift him a lot of yards after the catch.

Stockton's success with the deep ball is the one big thing missing from his game. If he and Georgia's wide receivers can find a way to improve on that then Georgia's offense might become unstoppable. And it will be at that point that Stockton will start receiving the respect he deserves on a national level.
