Georgia football had a surprise appearance at their Pro Day today, and that was quarterback Gunner Stockton. Stockton took center stage during UGA's Pro Day to throw to his teammates during the event, and while he is not heading to the NFL Draft himself, this did gave him a unique opportunity to compete in front of NFL scouts before most players his age get to.

Ok, maybe Stockton throwing during Pro Day isn't that surprising because someone had to do it for the wide receivers, running backs and anyone else who needed it during the event. But not many were talking about getting a chance to see Stockton in action long before he potentially becomes the starter in the fall.

So how did Stockton do? NFL Scouts maybe weren't too focused on how Stockton looked throwing the ball, but Georgia fans definitely are extremely curious. Thankfully Dawg Nation posted the below highlights from Stockton's day on their YouTube channel.

Teammates comment on Gunner Stockton

“I love Gunner. I’m so excited,” center Jared Wilson shared via dawgnation.com. “I definitely hated seeing Carson go down and never want to see a teammate go down and get hurt and then him going through the mental battles he was going through. Once Gunner came to that game, it brought a little extra juice to the team. It was great.”

“Like I say every day, if you’re not positive, you’re negative, people are going to be negative, too,” Arian Smith said. “If I come in complaining, other people are going to feel the need to complain. But if you come in being positive, it just rubs off on other people. They kind of take after you.”

“No matter what the circumstances, he’s always smiling,” Dominic Lovett said. “He’s a great guy to be around. He’s a great leader. I feel like no matter what’s going on, he’s very poised. I feel like he can control the room at his own tempo. He mentors and helps out the younger guys, but not just younger guys, like quarterbacks.”

It's clear that Stockton's teammates love him as a leader, so pairing that with the obvious talent he has on the field will definitely make Georgia fans excited for the season ahead.
