Gunner Stockton has been a solid, steady presence for Georgia's offense this season. He has been spectacular using his legs to pickup big yards on the groud while also finding more success through the air than people expected entering the season.

But most importantly he for the most part has been able to avoid big mistakes, but that was not the case Saturday in Georgia's win over Kentucky. Stockton threw his first interception of the season which gave Kentucky some life after trailing 14-0 to start the game.

Thankfully Georgia's defense stood tall after this interception, but this was Stockton's first big blunder of the season that could have impacted the outcome of this game.

Stockton spoke about this interception after the game, and he took all the blame for the play saying the ball just didn't go where he wanted it to go.

"It was just a bad throw. It didn't go where I wanted it,” Srockton shared via 247Sports.com.

Gunner Stockton shares what occurred moments after first interception

Stockton likely was very upset with himself after this play, but he knew he couldn't let it get to him. He knew he had to move past this mistake and get ready for the next drive because his team needed him.

Stockton was able to move past this interception, thanks in large part to the help from his teammates who picked him up after his first interception of the season.

"The guys, they're just like, 'Hey, it doesn't matter. Next drive,'" Stockton continued. "That was pretty neat for them to have my back. Just kind of wipe it and just move on."

Stockton went on to finish the game completing 15 of 23 passes for 196 yards and one touchdown. He also found the end zone two times on the ground as he racked up 48 rushing yards as well.

So it's clear that Stockton was able to bounce back from this mistake and still put together a great performance. And that is what Georgia is going to need from Stockton all season long if they are going to win championships this season.
