It seems like there is new information that comes out about Carson Beck's decision to transfer to Miami (FL) every week, and that was once again the case on Tuesday after Georgia football's spring practice.
This is the first time that Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton has spoken to the media this spring, so it is not surprising at all that the media took that opportunity to ask Stockton about this decision from Beck.
It also was not surprising that Stockton kept his thoughts about Beck's decision mostly to himself, but he did share one thing about Beck that is quite interesting.

Carson Beck did not speak to Gunner Stockton before his decision
According to Graham Coffey with Dawgs Central, Stockton shared that Beck did not say anything to him before he announced his decision to transfer to Miami.
This is quite strange that Beck chose to not say anything to Stockton, not even a heads up to warn him the day before his announcement shocked the college football world. No one is saying that Beck needed to tell Stockton all of the intimate details behind his decision, but a quick "for your information" message wouldn't have hurt anything.
This quote from Stockton however isn't all that surprising after considering everything that went down after Beck's injury in the SEC Championship game. After this injury, Beck took some time to himself to begin his rehab process and receive a few opinions from medical professionals. During this time, Beck was obviously removed from the team while they were preparing for the College Football Playoff, which is completely normal.
But Beck's absence from the team continued to grow, so much so that he did not join the team again until a day or two before their game against Notre Dame. And Beck reportedly did not offer much assistance to Stockton and the rest of the team for whatever reason.
So it appeared that Beck was checked out the second he was hurt in the SEC title game. So knowing that, it really isn't all that surprising that he didn't reach out to Stockton ahead of his big announcement this offseason.
