Georgia football has had a lot of special teams under Kirby Smart over the last 10 seasons, but this year's team may be the best of all. Sure Georgia's National Championship teams might still be better on paper, but this year's team may just be the most exciting group for UGA fans to support.
Quarterback Gunner Stockton is a big reason that is the case, but even he knows how special this group has been this season. And when he was asked to describe this year's team after their SEC Championship win over Alabama he used the perfect phrase to describe Georgia.
“Just the fact that we’ll never quit. I think we’ve shown that in every game.”
Gunner Stockton on how he would sum up this Georgia team…

“Just the fact that we’ll never quit. I think we’ve shown that in every game.”
Gunner Stockton describes Georgia's team to perfection
When asked to sum up Georgia this season Stockton pointed to the fact that they never quit. And that by far is the perfect way to describe Georgia this season.
Earlier this season Georgia had a lot of games where they had to fight back just to emerge with a victory. This took place against Tennessee, Auburn and even against Alabama in their one loss this season. Time and time again Georgia showed that they will never give up, and that is one of the best qualities a team can have.
This characteristic was on full display in the SEC Championship game as well. No one needs to be told how bad Georgia has been against Alabama as the Tide had a 1-7 record against UGA during Smart's tenure entering this game. But even though that is the case, Georgia did not let that get in their way as they put their heads down and handled their business in dominant fashion.
Georgia hopefully still has a lot of season left as they look to make a deep run in the College Football Playoff. Regardless of what happens though it is nice knowing that even if they fall behind in a game that they will never give up and will always have a good chance to make a comeback and win the game.
