With a series named Clean Old Fashioned Hate, it makes sense that Georgia and Georgia Tech are going to take some shots at each other. After last year's matchup went to eight overtimes with the Bulldogs pulling off the win in the end, Georgia might have gained the tiniest bit of respect for the Yellow Jackets, but not much.
Quarterback Haynes King was a big reason for Georgia Tech coming that close to bringing down the Bulldogs, as he threw for 303 yards with a 72.2 completion percentage and two passing touchdowns, as well as rushing for 110 yards and three rushing touchdowns. While speaking at ACC Media Days this week, King took a shot at the Bulldogs, reminding them that he is still there and ready for another matchup.
"At the end of the day, it's to hell with Georgia," King said.

Hopefully to beat 'em.

Of course, King also said that when looking at the upcoming matchup, he hopes to come out on top this time. Georgia Tech has currently lost seven straight games against the Bulldogs and has only won twice in the last 15 years.
This rivalry, while being one-sided for quite some time, as the Bulldogs hold the series lead 72-35-5 over the Yellow Jackets, has always been pretty heated. The last two years, Georgia Tech has made the matchups interesting, keeping Georgia on their toes and having to fight for a win late in the game.
King is returning for another season at Georgia Tech under fourth-year head coach Brent Key. Key once played at Georgia Tech and now leads this team to become an actual threat in the ACC. With 7-6 records in the last two seasons, Key seems to be building something with the Yellow Jackets, but it still probably won't be enough to take down the Bulldogs, no matter how hard they try.
