Hilarious must-see moment unfolds while Kirby Smart watches film with his team
Georgia football had so many highlights from their 31-17 win over Tennessee on Saturday. Whether it be countless big plays on defense or show-stopping completions on offense, there are countless plays that stand out and will be remembered from this win.
But one play in particular deserves a lot of credit, and that was when Georgia's punter Brett Thorson had a touchdown saving tackle in the first quarter. It's a big deal whenever a punter gets a tackle in a game, but the fact that it prevented Tennessee from putting points up on the board makes it that much better.
This play, along with the four great punts he had in this game, were good enough for Thorson to be named SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week.
Kirby Smart however had one more thing up his sleeve to help Thorson enjoy this moment, and it is something all Georgia fans must see.
Kirby Smart calls on Brett Thorson to teach team how to tackle
At the end of Smart's film review with his team this week, Smart began talking about how Georgia's defense needs to start tackling better. Smart went on and on about how they need to figure out who they can bring in to help teach his guys how to be better tacklers. That's when the lights went out, a hype video starting playing on the screen behind Smart, and in walked Thorson.
Thorson took his time strolling to the front of the room before giving a hilarious speech about how he is a great athlete and one of the best tacklers of all time. He even took a shot or two at a couple coaches as well.
So while it is important for Georgia to stay focused on the rest of the season, it is nice to see Smart joking around with the team and having fun with them. And it's also really cool to see Thorson get this special shoutout, because all joking aside, this play by him was one of the sparks that led Georgia to start dominating this game.
