Georgia is coming into the season as the reigning SEC champions, but it seems like no one wants to give them any credit heading into the 2025 season. Even former Georgia legend David Pollack doesn't fully believe in the Dawgs.
An exit in the first game they played in the College Football Playoff last season was not a good look for the Bulldogs, and now, with a lot of new guys in new positions, there is even more uncertainty around Georgia in 2025. Chris Phillips of the SEC Unfiltered podcast seems to think that Georgia is one of the most underrated teams in the SEC this season, and he might not be wrong.
Phillips, in his podcast, said that this could potentially be one of Kirby Smart's best rosters, technically, that he has ever had. Smart has his best-ever blue-chip ratio, which goes to prove how elite of a recruiting class Smart really is.
Some may laugh at the fact that Georgia is being called an underrated team, or coming in under the radar this season, but all eyes are on Arch Manning and Texas, or on Ohio State and Jeremiah Smith. No one is really talking at length about Georgia, except for the quarterback battle.
Is it crazy to think Georgia may be the SEC’s most UNDERRATED team heading into kickoff?@CPhilly19

Georgia has had a lot of great teams in its history, think about the ones that won back-to-back National Championships a few years ago, but this one could be even better than those, and no one is talking about it.
Georgia has the ability this season, which seems crazy, to come in and be the underdogs in the SEC, no pun intended. With all eyes on Texas and Manning, Georgia can kind of fly under the radar, win their games, and suddenly be in the SEC championship yet again and even bring home another title.
It seems crazy to think of Georgia as an underrated team, but when you sit back and look at it, it makes a lot of sense. Smart could have big things in store for this team this season, and fans and the rest of college football better be ready.
