Georgia football had a major injury last week in their win against Florida when star running back Trevor Etienne went down with a first half rib injury. This injury kept him sidelined for the entire second half, which was obvoiusly a major concern.

Thankfully true freshman Nate Fraizer stepped up and helped lead Georgia in the second half, without the stellar play from Frazier who knows if Georgia wins that game.

Now while Frazier has proven that he can be relied upon, it's obvious that a return from Etienne is very important. The Bulldogs continue to have running backs Roderick Robinson and Branson Robinson out due to their own injuries, so adding a third running back to that list would be very bad news.

So what is Etienne's status as the Bulldogs enter their SEC showdown with Ole Miss?

Is Trevor Etienne playing today vs. Ole Miss?

Earlier this week, Kirby Smart discussed Etienne's injury and shared how he was making a slow recovery to the start the week. That created some initial concern because as stated, Georgia needs Etienne in this game.

Fast forward to Friday night and it appears Etienne is a go for today's game against Ole Miss as he was not listed on the Bulldogs' latest injury report.

So expect to see a full dose of Etienne and Frazier in Georgia's backfield today, which has a chance to be a deadly combo. Both players have more than proven themselves so far this season, so the Georgia offense has a chance to take a big step in the right direction now that they are both going to be featured simultaneously.

And the UGA offense is going to have to play well today if they expect to win. The Ole Miss offense is as hot as can be coming off a 63 point performance against Arkansas last week, so Georgia will need to be able to score a lot to keep up.

But hopefully Georgia will be able to do just that with Etienne and Frazier both in the backfield today.
