Georgia fans like to say that they've moved on from losing Jared Curtis's commitment last year, but the effects of that loss will be felt for as long as he is in college.
There is a good chance that Georgia will be just fine without him, but there is also the possibility that they will always wonder what life would be like with him. And if he continues making plays like the below highlight at Vanderbilt, Georgia fans might have to live the rest of their lives wondering what could have been.

Jared Curtis is becoming Georgia's biggest regret
Curtis is projected to be the starter at Vanderbilt this season. That is one of the biggest reasons why he flipped to the Commodores because he would've sat on the bench behind Stockton this year. But this will more than likely be Stockton's last season at Georgia, so he would've had the chance to win the starting job heading into the 2027 season.
Unfortunately for Georgia that will not happen, and based on the above highlight it looks like he would've had a good chance to win the starting job.
The good news for Georgia is that they earned a commitment from Bryson Beaver who is a quarterback in the 2026 class as well. He may not be ranked as high as Curtis was, but he is still one of the top QBs in the 2026 class. So the future of Georgia's quarterback room is still bright, especially when factoring in five-star Jayden Wade from the 2028 class.
It's still impossible to not think about what life would be like with Curtis though. Georgia would be set up perfectly for years to come if he came to UGA, but that is not what unfolded.
Georgia however will get a chance to prove how big of a mistake he made because Curtis and Vanderbilt will play UGA in Athens later this season.
