The biggest story in all of college football this week took place up in Happy Valley when Penn State decided to fire head coach James Franklin. This decision came after Penn State began the season as the No. 2 team in the country only to fall to 3-3 after three straight losses.
Outside of some help on the recruiting trail, this news doesn't really impact Georgia all that much. But Franklin is making his way to Georgia this weekend in the form of an interview during ESPN's College GameDay in Athens on Saturday.

James Franklin is heading to Georgia on Saturday
College GameDay will be in Athens this weekend for Georgia's matchup with No. 5 Ole Miss. GameDay will be spending a lot of time talking about this game and the various implications it has on the rest of the season for both teams, but they will also spend some time talking about the other big games and stories from around the country as well. And there is no bigger story right now in college football then Franklin getting fired by Penn State.
GameDay announced on Thursday that they will be doing an exclusive interview with Franklin during Saturday's show at Georgia. This news is a bit surprising because Franklin being fired is still so fresh, but everyone wants to hear what he has to say and GameDay was able to make it happen.
Unfortunately this interview will take away from the excitement for Georgia's matchup with Ole Miss that is supposed to dominate GameDay's show Saturday morning. But at the end of the day it makes sense why GameDay wants to interview Franklin in the first place because he is the biggest story in all of college football right now.
ESPN's College GameDay is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am EST on Saturday morning live from Athens.
