Jared Curtis has yet to dispel any of the rumors surrounding his recruitment as he continues to flirt with the idea of flipping to Vanderbilt. But with under a week until the early signing period begins the hope is that Georgia will learn Curtis's final answer when it comes to his recruitment very soon.

Unfortunately Jeff Sentell with Dawg Nation shared that Curtis will not announce his final commitment on Dec. 3 when the early signing period begins.

"Curtis will not sign on the first day of the early signing period on December 3,” Sentell shared via dawgnation.com. “He will be traveling to Chattanooga to play for a repeat state title with his Nashville Christian team. That game will be on Dec. 4, so he won’t publicly sign with anyone that day either. I’m hearing the current plan is to sign with the school of his choice that Friday, the day before the SEC championship game. That’s how long this story will have legs."

Jared Curtis's final decision will come later than expected

Dec. 3 is the day a vast majority of recruits will sign their Letters of Intent with their schools. This 100 percent locks them in with that school, so at that point it is impossible for them to chance their minds. So until Curtis signs his name on the dotted line, Georgia can't be 100 percent certain he is going to be a Bulldog.

Unfortunately Sentell detailed that Curtis will not be signing on Dec. 3. In fact, he won't even sign on Dec. 4 either. Curtis will be traveling on Dec. 3 to play for a State Championship on Dec. 4, so it makes sense why he won't be signing until Friday, Dec. 5. Regardless, it is unfortunate that Georgia fans will have to wait an extra two days to learn if he will stick with Georgia or flip to Vanderbilt.

At this point it is impossible to predict where Curtis will end up. But one thing is certain, Georgia will be just fine in the long run with or without him, but it obviously would be much better to have him in Athens.
