Two days ago five-star quarterback Jared Curtis broke Georgia's heart when he decided to flip his commitment to Vanderbilt. This is the second time Curtis has ditched Georgia, so this left a lot of UGA fans very upset at how he handled his recruitment. Curtis even appeared to make Kirby Smart extremely upset as well.

In Curtis's announcement he spoke a lot about Georgia and what his true feelings about the program are. And while it is nice to see him say nice things, it doesn't eliminate what he did to the program.

"I do love Georgia," Curtis said via ugawire.usatoday.com. "I love the coaches and players there. They have been so good to me and my family. I know they would do everything to help me be successful. They are the best program in the country for a reason. The past year it's where I wanted to be and definitely where my parents have wanted me to go.”

"That's part of what makes this so hard," Curtis continued. "You try to make everyone who has been good to you and done so much for you happy, and when you can't it sucks. But I gotta walk my path that feels right in my heart, at the end of the day this has to be my decision."

It is a bit strange to see someone that decommitted from Georgia not once, but twice say so many nice things about the program. Curtis even went as far as to say that UGA is the best program in the country. But apparently that isn't good enough to convince him to come and join that program.

It is very clear why Curtis wants to play for Vanderbilt. They are his hometown team who is on the rise and can offer him immediate playing time. So it makes sense why they were an intriguing program to him, but they still don't even come close to stacking up with Georgia even after the last two years.

It will be interesting to see if Vanderbilt is able to remain good while Curtis is on their team. One thing is certain though, Georgia isn't going anywhere. They are going to continue competing for championships and if Curtis wants to win a title he is going to have to go through them. And that is the last thing Georgia is going to let happen.
