Georgia football is entering their matchup with Alabama in the SEC Championship game as the favorite according to Vegas oddsmakers. This may seem strange because Alabama not only beat Georgia earlier this season but they have won nine of the last 10 meetings, but Vegas believes Georgia is the better team.
Even if that is the case, Georgia fans are likely too afraid to admit that after how this rivalry has gone over the past 15 years. Joel Klatt on the other hand isn't afraid to admit it as he made it loud and clear that he thinks UGA is the far better team.
"They are the better team in this game... Which Georgia do we get? Do we get the Georgia from the previous two Bama matchups that didn't show up in the first half then played great in the second half? I'm interested about that dynamic. If you get the full attention of Georgia I do think they're the better team than Alabama."
"Nobody mentions Kirby [Smart] as 1-7 against Alabama... but he's also 0-2 against Kalen DeBoer."

Joel Klatt says the quiet part out loud ahead of Georgia's matchup with Alabama
Since losing to Alabama earlier this season it is hard to deny that Georgia has been the better team. The Bulldogs have won eight straight games since this loss which includes wins over Texas and Ole Miss. Alabama however has limped to the finish line as they lost to Oklahoma at home before barely surviving against Auburn just last week.
But even if Georgia does look like the better team, their fans likely won't want to admit it. For starters, there really isn't anything Georgia can say to Alabama entering this matchup because of how dominant they have been. Georgia also has never looked like their normal selves against Alabama, as Klatt pointed out, because they recently have played horrific first halves against the Crimson Tide in the last two matchups.
If the best version of Georgia shows up on Saturday then there is no way they lose this game. But the best version of Georgia typically does not show up against Alabama, so that is why UGA fans are refusing to admit they are the better team even if it is abundantly clear to others like Klatt.
