Former Georgia football superstar Jordan Davis signed a massive contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week. Massive might not even be the right word to use because it is the largest contract in NFL history for a nose tackle at $78 million.

Davis however has shown that he deserves every penny of this contract as he set a career high both in tackles and sacks during the 2025 season.

Fast forward to Wednesday and Davis spoke with the media for the first time since signing this extension. This was obviously a big moment for him individually, but it turned into a great recruiting pitch for Georgia when fellow Bulldog Jalen Carter showed up during the press conference.

Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis give Kirby Smart a perfect new recruiting pitch

Everyone knows that Carter and Davis are former teammates at Georgia. They found the ultimate success together in 2021 by winning a National Championship, and they've found that same success in the NFL with the Eagles when they won the Super Bowl in 2025.

Carter is still on his rookie contract, but there is a good chance the Eagles sign him to a huge contract extension just like Davis at some point. And the fact that two Bulldogs are finding similar success on the same team is a great recruiting pitch that Kirby Smart can use at Georgia.

The Eagles are in the middle of the offseason, so there weren't many people in the organization who attended Davis' press conference on Wednesday. Carter however made sure to stop by and support his fellow Bulldog in the biggest moment of his career. Davis even gave him a nice shoutout which speaks to the elite culture at Georgia and the bond they formed back in their college days.

Most schools can point to a little NFL success in their recruiting pitches, but not many can stack up with the amount of players Georgia has in the league. And it just so happens that Davis and Carter are two of the grestest examples that Smart can use to help sell Georgia to recruits today.
