Georgia and Alabama’s matchup last weekend lived up to all the hype. Both teams had a chance at the end of the game to win, and it was Georgia who held on and came away with a big road victory 20-17.

This loss was as heartbreaking as it can get for Alabama. Losses like this can be difficult to get over, but the Tide have a big road game at Tennessee this weekend so they have no choice but to get over their loss to Georgia and fast.

DeBoer made sure to make that point clear as he urged his team to not let Georgia beat them twice.

Georgia can learn from Kalen DeBoer's messae as well

DeBoer's message to his team is important because Alabama's season could end sooner than they would like if they don't move past their loss to Georgia. A similar sentiment exists for Georgia too even though they beat Alabama.

Georgia deserves to celebrate this win, but if they celebrate for too long then they might not be prepared for their next game. Sure it is nice to beat Alabama on the road, but Georgia hasn't accomplished any of their goals yet this season, so thinking they accomplished anything significant is the last thing they should do.

Even if Georgia has an easier game at home next week against Auburn they still have to be 100 percent ready to play. Anyone in the SEC can win on any given day, so Georgia should listen to DeBoer's message and not let their win over the Tide lead to a loss in the future because they're feeling too good about themselves.

Alabama fans need to listen to Kalen DeBoer's message

Alabama fans should probably listen to DeBoer as well. The aftermath of Saturday’s game has been different to say the least because Alabama fans haven’t stopped making excuses.

They’re blaming the officials missed pass interference call during their final drive of the game as the sole reason they lost, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

For starters, Alabama was still in field goal range and only down three points after that play. They still could’ve picked up a first down on the next play, but instead they gave up a sack which pushed them out of field goal range and forced them to punt the ball to Georgia.

Georgia also had some big calls go against them during this game as well. Most notably was the missed hold that occurred during Alabama’s first touchdown, but Crimson Tide fans don’t want to talk about that.

Georgia was also without their top two running backs and two of their better receivers, and Gunner Stockton was still able to have one of the best games of his career.

Alabama fans can keep making excuses, but nothing they say will change the outcome of Saturday’s game. If Alabama’s team is acting like their fans then DeBoer’s biggest fear could come true and the Tide could lose another game soon.
