It had been quite some time since Georgia has earned a commitment. In fact, the Bulldogs haven't had a recruit commit to their recruiting class since the beginning of February. That isn't super uncommon this time of year, but one month without a commit is longer than anyone is comfortable with.

Thankfully Georgia earned a commitment from four-star corner Jerry Outhouse Friday night.

4-star Jerry Outhouse becomes Georgia's latest recruiting win

Outhouse's commitment came after what was a wild week in his recruitment. The week began with multiple predictions being placed in Georgia's favor to win this recruitment. Knowing he was committing on Friday made it seem like this recruitment would be smooth sailing for the rest of the week, that however was not the case.

Just one day after these predictions Outhouse took to social media and publicly laughed at them. This made it seem like he wasn't actually leaning towards committing to Georgia, but he had other plans in mind.

Outhouse purposefully made these comments to throw people off to try and save some excitement surrounding his commitment. That trick worked as some Georgia fans were upset by his social media post, but those hard feelings can be put to bed now that he is officially a Bulldog.

According to 247Sports, Outhouse is the No. 160 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 22 corner in the 2027 recruiting class and the No. 24 player from the state of Texas.

Outhouse is the sixth player to commit to Georgia's 2027 recruiting class which is now ranked No. 9 in the country. This clearly isn't where Georgia wants to end up, but they are in a great position with only six players committed to their recruiting class.

It's unlikely that anyone else will commit in the coming weeks, but this is a commitment worth celebrating as Outhouse has a bright future in front of him in Athens.
