Georgia football has just secured yet another big-time commitment, and this one again comes on the offensive line. After officially visiting Athens this past weekend, inside offensive lineman Zykie Helton has officially committed to the Bulldogs in the Class of 2026, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett.

After his visit this past weekend, it was projected that Helton was going to stand with the Bulldogs with his commitment, but he was between Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State, and Alabama. The Bulldogs were able to nab the 4-star IOL that is the No. 41 offensive lineman in the class of 2026.

Helton is a great player, but what makes this commitment even sweeter is that Georgia was able to take him away from Alabama, where he was once committed. Helton felt Georgia was a leader for his commitment after a great weekend in Athens with the coaching staff and players. The Bulldogs beat out not just SEC rival Alabama for Helton, but also in-state rival Georgia Tech.

Helton's message to Georgia fans is one that should have fans going crazy over this commitment.

"Dawg nation, the wait is over," Helton told On3's Hayes Fawcett. "I'm home."

Georgia lands 4-star offensive lineman as projected

It is clear that even though he isn't the highest-ranked offensive lineman in his class, Helton was a top-notch recruit, just based on the schools going after him. Beating out Alabama, Florida State, adn Gerogia Tech is truly something Georgia can be happy about, especially a the Bulldogs will get to show off Helton to two of those three schools in the coming seasons.

Helton is not the first offensive lineman to commit to Georgia this week, as the Bulldogs also landed Zachary Lewis just two days ago, a 3-star recruit out of Suwanee, Georgia. The Georgia offensive line looks to be getting better as the years go on in an effort to build the offense. Georgia has always been known for their defense, but with the commitment of four-star quarterback Jared Curtis, it shows Kirby Smart is dedicated to helping the offense of the future.
