Georgia football did not play very well on offense during their 16-9 win ovver Georgia Tech this weekend. This has forced Georgia fans to be very concerned about the state of their offense entering their matchup with Alabama in the SEC Championship game, but the injury to starting center Drew Bobo is the biggest concern of all.

Malachi Toliver stepped in to replace Bobo after he was injured, but Georgia's offense was not the same. Even if that is the case, Kirby Smart still has confidence in Toliver and the offensive line as a whole if Bobo isn't able to play this weekend.

"Yeah, like I said the other day, he (Toliver) did some good things," Smart said via 247sports.com. "He's got to continue to work and improve on some others, but I was really glad he got to go in the Charlotte game and play as much as he did and get the experience of that time and continue to grow and get better."

Georgia faces significant challenge if Drew Bobo isn't able to play against Alabama

Georgia has overcome a lot of injuries to their offensive line so far this season, but the injury to Bobo might be the most challenging yet. On the surface it may not seem any different from the other injuries earlier this season, but Georgia's offense really struggled the moment Bobo left the field.

Their offensive line was no longer able to carve holes for their running backs like they were throughout the first half while Bobo was in the game. Gunner Stockton also didn't have as much time as he is used to in the passing game as well. But even after all of these issues, Smart is confident in Toliver if he has to play against Alabama.

Smart knows he has to improve a lot before this weekend, but he will be able to draw on this experience he earned against Georgia Tech if he does have to play. The best outcome howeer would be for Bobo to be healthy enough to play against Alabama, but if Toliver does have to play Smart has confidence that he can perform much better than he did against Georgia Tech.
