Georgia football has quite the challenege in front of him this week. The Bulldogs travel to Austin, TX to take on the No. 1 team in the country, the Texas Longhorns.

Texas has been dominant all season long and enter this game 6-0 (2-0). This record includes two dominant wins against big name programs when they took down Michigan on the road 31-12 and just beat Oklahoma 34-3 this past weekend.

Not only is Texas an elite football team, but their home environment is one of the best in the country as well.

After Georgia's 41-31 win over Mississippi State, Kirby Smart was asked if his team is prepared to play in an environment like Texas. I think it's safe to say that Smart thinks they are.

"I know it’s the SEC environment. I know it’s a top-10 matchup. I mean, you’re talking about powerhouse programs. So, at least we played at Kentucky, which was really hard. We played at Alabama, which was really hard. And so we’ve got some experience in that environment. But it’ll be a road environment."

Now I won't go as far as to say that Kentucky has an elite environment, they're more of a basketball school anyways, but Alabama does have one of the best hom environments in college football. So thankfully Georgia already got to experience that this season.

Not only did they get to experience it, but they played pretty well at times in it. Georgia started extremely slow against the Tide which caused the Alabama crowd to really get into the game. But the Bulldogs fought all the way back and had every chance to win the game in the fourth quarter.

Even though Georgia came up just short, they proved that they can hang with a good team in a tough environement. My guess is the Texas environment will be similar to what UGA played in at Alabama, but Texas does look like a better team compared to the Tide. So this certainly will be the toughest challenge of the season for the Bulldogs.

However, it is a very good thing that Georgia has experience already this season in playing in tough road environmenets, so hopefully the Texas crowd won't impact the Bulldogs too much on Saturday.
