Kirby Smart is one of the best recruiters in the country. Ever since he took over as head coach at Georgia he has always had the Bulldogs towards the top of the recruiting rankings every year.

One of the reasons why is because he is willing to go above and beyond what other coaches will do to impress the recruits he is after. And the latest example of that took place on Friday when he landed his helicopter on a high school football field to recruit a player he’s interested in.

Kirby Smart does what no other coach is willing to do to wow a recruit

Georgia’s entire staff has spent the last few days on the road recruiting. That includes Smart who theoretically is meeting with the recruits he is most interested in landing. So everyone knows which recruits Georgia is extra interested based on who Smart is visiting, but when he pulls off a stunt like this it’s clear who his top priorities are.

The above post does not specifically mention who Smart is there to recruit. This high school however is located in Georgia, so Smart is clearly motivated to land an in-state recruit from this school.

This isn’t the first time Smart pulled off this stunt as he was spotted landing his helicopter at another high school on Thursday. So even though Georgia’s season ended much sooner than anyone was hoping for, Smart is already out doing everything he can to make the program better in the future.

So far Georgia has five commits in their 2027 recruiting class. This is good enough to give them the No. 8 class in the country. There is still plenty of time for Georgia to improve on that ranking, and if Smart keeps recruiting with this level of aggression it is only a matter of time until more recruits commit to Georgia.
