Georgia football could be in seroius trouble. Five-star quarterback commit Jared Curtis will reportedly be visiting Vanderbilt on Saturday, and this has created some uncertainty surrounding his commitment to UGA.

The Commodores are the hometown team for Curtis and no other program is on the rise more than Vanderbilt is, so for these reasons it feels like they actually stand a chance at flipping Curtis. But Georgia isn't going down without a fight, and Kirby Smart sent a clear message to him Friday night.

Kirby Smart grabbed the attention of 5-star QB Jared Curtis

Georgia is on a bye this week, so that means their coaching staff can spend all weekend on recruiting trips. But after the recent news surrounding Curtis and his upcoming visit to Vanderbilt, it quickly has become all hands on deck in his recruitment.

Smart unfortunately was out recruiting other recruits Friday night, but he did send Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo to visit Curtis during his game. This visit came just two days after Curtis visited Vanderbilt on Wednesday and one day before he makes his return trip to visit the Commordores again on Saturday for their matchup against Missouri.

So it's abundantly clear that Smart and his staff are doing everything they can to let Curtis know how important he is to them, but it's unclear at this time if it will be enough to keep him in their class.

Will Georgia be able to hold on to his commitment? Or will Curtis make what would be one of the most shocking recruiting decisions of all time and flip to Vanderbilt? No one knows at this point, and that might include Curtis as well. But one thing is certain, Smart and his staff are doing everything they can to keep him in their recruiting class.
