During Georgia's way-too-close 16-9 win in Atlanta over Georgia Tech, hearts dropped everywhere when starting center Drew Bobo went down with an injury. He looked to be in serious discomfort and video of him hobbling back to the locker room sure had people talking. Bobo wasn't able to return and the offense clearly suffered.

Kirby Smart said what Georgia fans were thinking after Dawgs escaped vs. Georgia Tech

Without Bobo in the trenches, the UGA offense just didn't look right. Shortly after the final whistle, everyone was waiting for some news from Kirby Smart and he provided it. Well, kind of. Smart spoke to reporters after the win and kept things pretty dang vague if you ask us:

Kirby Smart didn't offer up much info when asked about injured OL Drew Bobo

This could be Smart keeping things close to the vest, or it could be way too early to know whether or not this is serious for Bobo. Georgia is waiting to see what happens this weekend, but there's still a chance the Dawgs could play in the SEC title game.

That's set for Dec. 6 in Atlanta. Obviously, if Georgia makes it, the team will need everyone to be at their best to win the conference title. However, it will be very much up in the air if Bobo is able to suit up or not. If UGA doesn't take the field next weekend, the focus will quickly shift to the College Football Playoff.

The question then becomes, will Bobo be able to play in December the next time Georgia takes the field, or could he potentially miss a game or two? Everything is quite unclear and Smart didn't do anyone any favors with his response.

After Bobo got hurt, second-year freshman Malachi Toliver stepped in and manned the center spot, but he was not ready for that moment. If Georgia wants to go on a deep CFP run and push for a potential natty, Smart is going to need Bobo at full strength. No one knows if that will be the case or not, but this will be something to keep a close eye on moving forward.
