One of the best things a college football program can be is consistent. Obviously, one would hope that baked-in consistency translates into something good. When it comes to the Georgia Bulldogs, they have done a phenomenal job of getting players to not only shine in the NFL, but be a part of deep playoff runs. Over the last 25 years, at least one UGA player has been on a Super Bowl roster.
With the New England Patriots winning the AFC, Jared Wilson shall be representing Georgia proudly.
With the Patriots winning, former Bulldog Jared Wilson will make it the 25th straight Super Bowl with a Georgia player in it, the longest active streak of any school.

Wilson starts at left guard for Mike Vrabel in his rookie season out of Georgia for the Patriots. During his final year in Athens, Wilson manned the center position along the offensive line. One of the greatest offensive linemen in Georgia football history would go on to win Super Bowls playing for the Patriots in center David Andrews. History has a funny way of repeating itself sometimes in football...
In a way, having Wilson playing in the Super Bowl is something Kirby Smart can sell to major recruits.

To have at least one player with Georgia ties be on one of the two teams playing for the Super Bowl every year for a quarter century is astonishing. What this means from an overall recruiting standpoint is not only can you get drafted by an NFL team after starring at Georgia, but the best teams in the NFL year over year want to have UGA players part of their organizations because their games do translate.
For a school that regularly has multiple players taken in the first round, as well as around double digits drafted annually, the odds are in Georgia's favor to continue to do this. While there are only 32 NFL teams to have your bases covered, not every organization is the Philadelphia Eagles... For as New England and Kansas City-centric as the AFC has been, this makes Wilson's trip even more amazing.
Right now, the evidence continues to mount that Georgia is an undeniable blue-blood. Ask yourself this: How many other college football programs can you rattle off that would be equipped to pull this kind of streak off? Alabama, Ohio State, maybe Texas... All four of these programs have won national titles this century, but they have not won all of them. It is about the long-term building process there.
Even when Georgia's season ends on the gridiron, a former UGA star usually plays in the Super Bowl.
