Georgia's win over Auburn this past season will be remembered for a long time. The Bulldogs' 20-10 victory was the wildest game Georgia played all year, and you'd have to go back many years to find another game that rivals it.

Georgia's goal line stand late in the first half though is the play that everyone remembers the most, and it is that play that Kirby Smart is using to build Georgia's culture for the foreseeable future.

One moment from Auburn victory is carrying Georgia's culture into the future

Everyone should remember this play. Auburn was leading Georgia 10-0 with the ball on the goal line with the first half coming to an end. It looked like the Tigers were going to take a 17-0 lead into halftime, but then Georgia's defense forced a fumble on the goal line to flip all the momentum in their favor.

From that moment on Auburn never scored again. Georgia turned that turnover into a field goal before the end of the half and then scored 17 points in the second half to win 20-10.

This is the moment that Smart has chosen to build Georgia's culture around. According to defensive line coach Tray Scott, a picture of Georgia's defensive line seconds before this play is plastered all over their facilities to remind everyone to never give up and that you can always count on the Bulldog standing next to you.

“That picture is around everywhere, and you see the focus and the intent with those five guys who knew they were the first line of defense,” Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott said of via dawgnation.com.

Kirby Smart can use Georgia's past to build towards the future

Georgia's culture is unique to the rest of the college football world. The Bulldogs are in a unique position where they can use their past to help build towards the future better than anyone else because they have had so much success over the years.

This includes multiple championships along with many players who have had great success both in college and in the NFL.

It's important for Smart to always remember the moments that have led Georgia to where they are today. These moments show the next generation of Bulldogs what's possible at a place like Georgia and how they can be remembered if they find a lot of success during their career.

Georgia now looks ahead to the 2026 season where they will hopefully have many great moments like this, but with the way Smart runs his program it is clear that no one will ever be able to compare to their culture and that is why Georgia will keep winning at the highest level.
