Georgia football is one week removed from their big win over Tennessee, but since the Bulldogs are on a bye it is still all any Georgia fan wants to talk about. Thankfully some new intel came in about this game, courtesy of ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit.

Herbstreit recently shared that he had a conversation with Kirby Smart before Georgia's game against Tennessee, and according to Herbstreit, Smart said something that no UGA fan will want to miss.

"Kirby told me on Friday, we were on Zoom talking about the game," Herbstreit shared via si.com. "He said, 'You know, I really don't know how my team is going to respond. I can just tell you this, I like the makeup of my team. We are more of a team than we were a year ago. There is definitely something going on that I am seeing.'"

Kirby Smart thinks Georgia is different this year

The first thing Smart shared with Herbstreit is that he didn't know how his team was going to react to their first big game of the season against Tennessee. And after the start Georgia had, it's easy to see why he may have had some doubts because the Volunteers jumped out to an early 21-7 lead.

But Smart then said that he likes the makup of his team. He shared that they are more of a team this season and that he is noticing that there is something special about them. And he couldn't have been more right as the Bulldogs stormed back and took down Tennessee in overtime.

So how good can this Georgia team really be? They have all the tools they need to make a run at antoher SEC Championship and National Championship, so it's just a matter of if they can do it or not.

Smart may not know exactly know what is so great about his team just yet, but he thinks they will be special this season.
