The Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart have struck gold once again, as 5-star QB Jared Curtis has officially committed to the program. This was a battle between Kirby Smart and Dan Lanning, but Georgia came out on top. Now, the focus is 100 percent on Jackson Cantwell.

The fellow 5-star prospect is set to take a visit to Athens this weekend and then he's going to shut down his recruitment next week. Cantwell is down to Miami, Georgia, Ohio State and Oregon, but the Bulldogs are considered the favorites.

With the nation's No. 1 prospect being so high on Georgia and his visit indeed coming up, Smart needs to take full advantage of this latest Curtis news. That's right, he needs to call him ASAP to keep selling the young tackle on all the great things Georgia has cooking up, especially now that Curtis is ready to help with the recruiting efforts too.

Getting Curtis to pledge really is massive for Smart and the Bulldogs. He's ranked five stars, the No. 1 quarterback in the country and No. 2 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports Composite. As for Cantwell? Yeah, he's the No. 1 OT in the nation and No. 1 prospect overall.

Curtis and Cantwell are pretty close too and they've surely talked about playing together at the next level. Smart getting Curtis' commitment is no question only going to help him potentially seal the deal with Cantwell, though things aren't wrapped up there just yet.

It's been a long process for the offensive lineman, but a major announcement is around the corner for him too. Can you imagine how fired up Georgia fans everywhere are going to be if Smart follows up Monday's news with Cantwell giving him his verbal on May 13 as well?

It would break Oregon hearts everywhere, but hey, we don't care about that. There's a LOT of momentum for UGA these days and Cantwell can make things even better sooner rather than later. Pick up the phone and call him Kirby - the time to keep hyping up his potential future with Curtis is now.
