Georgia football has suffered more than their fair share of injuries this season. They have been able to survive the season to this point and still make the SEC Championship game while being in position to make the College Football Playoff, but it has not been easy getting there.

However, Georgia's most recent injury report showed that a lot of Bulldogs are getting healthy just in time for their showdown with Texas on Saturday. There are however two key players that have not made their return yet, and that is running back Trevor Etienne and defensive lineman Christen Miller.

Both players have been out for quite some time, but according to Kirby Smart is sounds like they both could be back very soon.

"They've been taking part in some parts of practice and taking reps and, you know, hopeful that those guys are able to do something,'" Smart shared via 247sports.com. "You know, they're both listed as questionable right now. All right, next question."

Could Etienne or Miller return this weekend?

While it is nice hearing that both Etienne and Miller are practicing again and getting some reps in with the team, this comment from Smart does not make it sound very likely that they will play against Texas on Saturday.

Smart saying he's hopeful that they are able to do something and the abrupt way he ends his answer to this question makes it sound like they will not play against Texas. However, they are listed as questionable on Georgia's injury report, so they have not been officially ruled out yet.

So while Georgia fans wait to see if either will play against Texas, there is some good news to gather from this, and that is that both players will likely be ready to go by the time Georgia plays their first CFP game. That game clearly matters more than the SEC Championship game, so at the end of the day hopefully both will be ready to go by then.
