Georgia has been able to recruit every position extremely well since Kirby Smart became head coach. Some positions have had a much higher hit rate than others though, and tight end certainly fits that description.
A lot of that has to do with tight ends coach Todd Hartley who has proven to be one of Smart's ace recruiters. And it just so happens that he is working his magic once again with Jaxon Dollar who is one of the top tight ends in the country.
The No. 2 tight end in the nation has Georgia as a top priority.

Todd Hartley makes his move for Georgia with elite tight end Jaxon Dollar
According to the 247Sports composite rankings Dollar is a five-star tight end and the No. 36 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 tight end in the 2027 recruiting class as well as the No. 2 player from his home state of North Carolina.
Hartley has been one of Georgia's best recruiters ever since he stepped foot on campus. He has been landing big targets in seemingly every recruiting class which includes three of the top 10 tight ends in the country just last year.
Hartley is now looking to work his magic with Dollar who is clearly one of the best tight ends in the country in the 2027 class. Earning his commitment however is going to be extremely difficult because Notre Dame already has a crystal ball prediction in their favor.
But that shouldn't deter Georgia fans from getting their hopes up. Hartley has proven time and time again that he should never be doubted when it comes to recruiting any player he sets his sites on. Smart also should never be doubted as a recruiter either and it looks like he is taking a special interest in Dollar as well.
Notre Dame may be the favorite right now, but don't be surprised if Georgia is the team that ultimately ends up on top.
