Kirby Smart's aggressive attitude left no doubt what young WR has up his sleeve

There are countless question marks surrounding Georgia's wide receiver room this year. The good news is that they have a lot of great players ready to break through and be the answers to those questions.

Talyn Taylor is the most likely player to emerge as the solution to Georgia's inexperience at wide receiver. He is a former five-star recruit who didn't do too much last season, but Kirby Smart made it clear during Thursday's practice that he expects a lot more from him this year.

“Smart had words for redshirt freshman receiver Talyn Taylor on multiple occasions. Urging him on,” Jeff Sentell said via dawgnation.com. “He made one comment that stressed just how important yards after the catch were going to be this season for the former 5-star.”

“There was no need to leave his feet for a ball unless he absolutely had to,” Sentell continued. “Those words from Smart certainly set the tone for Taylor this spring. The former 5-star has all the ability in the world to be an impact player on offense this year. There’s All-SEC and All-American talent in his game.”

Georgia's wide receiver room has never been more inexperienced under Smart than it is this year. That means they are going to have to rely on a lot of players who have yet to prove themselves in college, and that list begins with Taylor.

Smart clearly knows how important he is to Georgia's team this year as he spent a large portion of Thursday's practice focused on coaching him up. He is looking to find another gear that Taylor can tap into, and if they can find it then he very well could lead Georgia in receiving this fall.

Based on the below shot from Thursday's practice though, it seems like they may have already found that gear.

Taylor is a name everyone at Georgia should expect to hear a lot this season. All signs point to him being Gunner Stockton's top option out wide, and if Smart keeps coaching him this hard he is only going to get even better.
