Kirby Smart set to host a strong batch of recruits on second official visit weekend

After a very successful first official visit weekend, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart intends to follow up that performance with another impressive showing this weekend.

If there is one thing that Kirby Smart is great at other than winning National Championships, it is recruiting. After a very successful first official visit weekend back in mid-May, where Smart hosted nine official visitors and a number of unofficial visitors, the Bulldogs are ready to run it back again for their second official visit weekend.

This upcoming weekend, Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will host 15 official visits from the Class of 2026 with a mix of a couple of 5-star recruits, a multitude of 4-star recruits, and even a few 3-star recruits. These visits are crucial for the building of Georgia's future and give recruits an opportunity to see what life is like on the Georgia campus and, even more importantly, get an inside view of the football program.

Georgia currently has 10 hard commits, one of them being Jordan Smith, who plans to make his official visit to Athens this weekend. Smart will look to add to that number after hopefully another successful official visit weekend.

How many commitments could Georgia see this weekend?

The Bulldogs are already a bit ahead of the game already having one commit visit this weekend, but not only is Smart trying to get a few commits from some highly recruited players, he is also trying to flip a few already committed players. Other than Smith, UGA will host two other committed players, Izayia Williams, who is committed to Ole Miss, and Chris Booker, who is already committed to Alabama.

It isn't uncommon for the coaches to come out of the weekend with a few recruits they are hot on the trail for, but it is still early in the summer, and the recruiting process for a lot of these un-committed players. Don't be surprised if some are still hesitant to make that commitment at the end of the weekend and choose to take their other official visits first.
