Georgia football thankfully hasn't suffered too many injuries so far this season, but they have had a few Bulldogs go down with some minor injuries early in the season. Two of those players just so happen to be their starters on the right side of their offensive line in Juan Gaston and Earnest Greene.

Kirby Smart gave a brief update on both Bulldogs earlier this week, but unfortunately he did not share if they would be ready to play on Saturday against Alabama.

“They’re working hard, you know, that’s all they can do right now is put their head down and grind and try to get better, continue to develop and we’ll continue to do that with all those guys," Smart shared via dawgnation.com.

Gaston was able to play the entire game against Tennessee two weeks ago but Greene's injury crept up on him more and prevented him from playing late in the game. Thankfully both players have been continuing to practice which could be a sign that both will be available against the Crimson Tide.

Positive injury update for RB Dwight Phillips

Star running back Dwight Phillips has been a very bright spot out of the backfield for Georgia this season. He hasn't received that many carries, but whenever he does he always seems to explode for a chunk gain.

Phillips did suffer a foot injury against Tennessee, but according to Smart there are no concerns moving forward for him.

“He seems to be fine. Playing special teams, do things well,” Smart said. He’s really had no limitations.”

It's important for Georgia to have all three of these Bulldogs available to play against Alabama because the Crimson Tide received some great injury news of their own earlier this week. Two of their star players will reportedly make their season debuts this weekend in Athens, so it would be nice if Georgia could match that news with all three of these Bulldogs being 100 percent available by Saturday.
