Georgia football is ready to begin postseason play this weekend as they take on Texas in the SEC Championship game. This game is obviously going to be extremely difficult for UGA to win, especially if they don't find a way to get much healthier before this game.

And the one position that Georgia is dealing with the most injuries is running back.

Freshman Nate Frazier has done an excellent job in everyone's absence, but it's safe to say that Georgia needs more of their running backs available if they are going to beat Texas and make a run in the College Football Playoff.

On Sunday, Kirby Smart discussed the running back room and provided updates on three Georgia running backs currently dealing with injuries.

"But I don't know if we're going to be — I don't see how you could say we could be a hundred percent because Branson (Robinson) and Rod (Robinson) are neither 100% and they're out there trying to play," Smart said via 247sports.com. "You know, Trevor's (Etienne) a ways away. I still don't know because we haven't even seen those guys. He wasn't really close to playing last week. So I don't know how that's going to play out. I know that Nate's (Frazier) playing really hard. He's growing up. I don't see him as a freshman anymore and we've got to keep getting everybody ready."

The first update worth mentioning is Trevor Etienne, who according to Smart is stall a "ways away" from making his return. Etienne suffered his injury during the Florida game about a month ago but still gave it a go the following week against Ole Miss, but that was the last time we have seen him on the field.

Unfortunately it sounds like a guarantee that he won't be available this weekend for the SEC Championship game, but hopefully he can get healthy enough before the CFP begins.

The two other injured Georgia running backs however appear to be healthy enough to make their returns. The first is Roderick Robinson, who actually received four carries during their win over Georgia Tech. According to Smart, he is still not 100 percent, but he is clearly good enough to play this weekend against Texas which is a great sign for Georgia and the rest of their season.

Lastly, there is Branson Robinson who is yet to make his return. The last time Robinson was on the field was the Mississippi State game back in early October, but he is inching closer to a return. He was listed as questionable heading into the Georgia Tech game this past weekend, and while he didn't end up playing that shows just how close he is to returning as well.

Hopefully Roderick Robinson and Branson Robinson are both able to play this weekend in the SEC Championship game, that way UGA has more options available to them other than Frazier. And then from there, hopefully both are 100 percent along with Etienne before Georgia's CFP run begins.
