Georgia football is in the midst of their second bye week this season. On Tuesday, Kirby Smart met with the media to discuss how his team is doing during this extra time off.

Smart spoke a lot about the team's impressive win against Texas, but he also discussed how they need to turn the page and get ready for the tough finish to their schedule.

One interesting question that Smart was asked was which position group he felt has improved the most since Georgia's first bye week. Let's see what he had to say.

"I think everyone’s grown," Smart said via dawgnation.com. "I mean, the experiences we’ve had since the last bye week have been on the road at Alabama, home games against two tough SEC opponents, on the road at Texas. I mean, it’s been a journey."

"Our outside of linebacker group we’ve got the production out of Damon (Wilson), Gabe (Harris), and Jalon (Walker) when he plays that spot. Chaz had some big plays in the game. I thought those guys had really stuck out. But it’s hard to single out one group."

You have to love the first part Smart's answer because he is giving credit to the entire team for improving during the past month. However, we all know that some players and poisition groups have improved more than others, and thankfully Smart gave us a real answer in the second part of his quote.

After the performance that linebacker Jalon Walker had against Texas this past weekend, it really is no surprise to hear Smart single that group out. Walker set a college football record by finishing with eight tackles and three sacks against the No. 1 team in the country, the first time that's been done against the No. 1 team in over 20 years. Now that definitely deserves a shoutout.

But Smart made sure to include the entire outside linebacker group, which has been playing extremely well. That group is one of the biggest reasons why Georgia was able to shut down the Texas offense so effectively last weekend. Without the elite play from that entire group, Georgia likely wouldn't have had the large halftime lead that they did.

Now that the Bulldogs are in their second bye week, it'll be interesting to see which position improves the most from now until the end of the season. We all probably have our preferred groups in mind, but as long as the entire team grows like they have in the past month, then this should be a fun ride to end the season.
