Kirby Smart knows how to wow a recruit on the recruiting trail. Every so often he does something completely out of left field to grab the attention of a recruit, and it almost always works. Earlier this offseason he flew his helicopter around and landed it on recruit's high school football field in order to make a great impression.
This time Smart did something he maybe has never done before as he struck a post with the baby brother of four-star safety Jayden Aparicio-Bailey while visiting him on an in-home visit.
Kirby Smart went in-home and left with a viral moment.

4-star safety @Jaayy3_ had Kirby holding his baby brother after Dabo already did it.

Kirby Smart goes above and beyond during visit with 4-star safety
Aparicio-Bailey is one of the top recruits in the 2027 recruiting class. According to the 247Sports composite rankings he is the No. 233 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 25 safety in the 2027 class and the No. 8 player from his home state of Alabama.
This move from Smart may seem insignificant, but it is a big deal for two reasons. For starters it will help make this visit as memorable as possible. In a day and age where recruits hear from programs every single day, posing for a picture with a recruits baby brother is one way to stand out above every other program.
This move from Smart was also somewhat of a nod to Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. Swinney reportedly pulled this same stunt on an in-home visit with Aparicio-Bailey as well, so this was an important move to keep pace with what Clemson is doing.
Clemson and Georgia reportedly are the two teams at the top of Aparicio-Bailey's recruitment right now. Maybe that has something to do with the extra effort both Smart and Swinney made with his family, but Georgia will have their hands full taking down the Tigers in this recruitment.
But Georgia has had Clemson's number on the field recently, so hopefully that will be the thing that tips this recruitment in Georgia's favor.
